Alternate Procedure - X4 (W5) Subscription Programming & FTA.
This procedure will retain all satellites currently in the memory of your 4DTV.

ALTERNATE PROCEDURE - TO RETAIN SATELLITES IN MEMORY
IF you would like to keep access to existing satellites, we can suggest an alternate procedure that will leave all satellites in memory, as well as add the X4 designator for W5 satellite reception. Updated as of 1/6/11. If you have previously completed the alternate procedure and still could not get a re-hit, please repeat Step 5 and request another re-hit.
1. Call up Satellite W5 to Channel 603. Confirm that you have a color bar display on a Digicipher 2 channel.
2. Hold the Console Power button IN for 3 seconds and release. Power Back On afterwards. Press Options 6-5 for a diagnostics display. a) Confirm your receiver number from Line B – example 000-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxx. (This is the number you will need to provide to the Programming Center to get a re-hit.) b) Confirm the number on the right of “CHANNELS” at the bottom of the TV screen. This should be 4782 or less. If the CHANNEL number is 4800 or higher, your receiver’s memory may be too full to accept additional re-hits. Please follow remaining steps. If, upon receiving a re-hit, you do not get your subscription programming, you may have to consider a Master Reset while on the W5/X4 satellite. Should this be the case, additional technical assistance will likely be required. Otherwise, look at total number to the right of CHANNELS display and write down that number. Wait for 5-15 minutes for that number to increase by approximately 140 digits. Final total should be right around 4782.
3. Press Options 6-4-4. Locate the X4 name (right next to W5 satellite) and move to highlight. Follow prompts on screen (GO BACK to save satellite and ENTER if asked to save other information).
4. Exit out, press the blue SAT button and select the X4 satellite. Confirm operation on Channel 936 (vertical polarity) as well as Channel 937 (horizontal polarity) and check for operating DC light on the front panel of your receiver. These are DMX Audio Channels and should have On-Screen Song Titles and Artists. Check audio on these channels as well.
5. Press OPTIONS 6-7-7-8-1 (Manual Tune) and confirm that the EMM Provider is 0. If it still says 4096, do an Authorization Reset by pressing OPTIONS 6-7-7-8-0. Be aware that this is a hidden menu command and will not register on the TV screen. Verify that Reset has happened by going back to OPTIONS 6-7-7-8-1 and confirm EMM Provider is at 0. Move to Subscription Channel, Press OPTIONS 6 – 5 (System Status); watch TRIP COUNTER as you follow Step 6. It will increase by 5 with every re-hit.
6. Call Omegasource MTS Inc.  to get authorization or a re-hit.
Wait 10-15 minutes and then press the GUIDE button to see that channel numbers are working. It will probably take several hours for the GUIDE information to begin functioning.
