HD HBO on C-Band will change format

The HBO-HD channels on Satellite G9-118 and 120 are being moved to a new broadcast format by HBO and they will no longer be available to c-band subscribers. Unfortunately, Omegasource and our US programming suppliers have no control over this.

The channels were included as part of the HBO service, and Customers could get them for no extra charge if they had an HDD-200 decoder.

There will be no credit issued for these channels, as they were just provided as part of the 27 channel HBO/Max service.

We apologize to all customers that are affected and upset about the loss of these channels, but we were told, that there were no additional charges for the HD service and there will be no credits. Only requirement to receive them in HD format was to hook up a HDD-200 Motorola HD decoder.

This change will occur 10-16-2009.

Satellite G3 and C4 are back up and working well

Both satellites G3 and C4 that went down yesterday afternoon are working well today.

Due to violent lightening storms at the uplink sites , transmition to the satellites have been damaged for few hours.

Around 9PM MST technicians restored operations of the transmiters and if you did not fiddle with your dish last night, your programming should be coming to your television as usual.
