Can you imagine living in Myanmar?
First of all you could be executed by the military regime for tinkering with your fta receiver for trying to watch foreign news or any outside television channel, or you may to have to pay big bucks for right to have a satellite dish.
Over here you just have to pay big bucks for it and watch it on the “proper” satellite system provided to you by authorized and licensed selected satellite company, authorized by governing body called CRTC. And for tinkering with you satellite receivers you will not get executed. You will get just up to
5 years in jail or/and some fine like $5000 to $25000. So as you see you live in a lot more democratic country then Myanmar with a lot lighter sentences.
Lawyers are happy here. Lawyers there are not. They are demonstrating. I don’t know why, but just knowing that lawyers are not happy somewhere in the world make me happy.
May be that the lawyers on this continent are too happy and all the lawyer jokes and real life experiences suggest that there is no good lawyer, so seeing then not happy it’s a good felling.
Anyway this is not what I wanted to talk about. I just wanted to point at the picture showing satellite dishes on the rooftop of an apartment building in a residential area in Yangon, Myanmar . Looks like the C-band large dishes are doing very well over there. When I think of , how many dishes we have taken to dumps over the years, I think how much money we could have made by sending them to Myanmar.
