C-Band December 14th channel update.

                   

TNT, TBS, CNN, CNNHL, Comedy and Weather Channel, are not scheduled to leave analog, at anytime in the near future. We will notify everyone, if we get any information they are moving. 

 

HBO West is scheduled to leave analog on 12-17-2007, this channel is already on G1 in 4DTV format.

 

HBO East is scheduled to leave analog on 01-13-2008, this channel is already on G1 in 4DTV format.

 

Tennis Channel -  this channel does not want to pay ACC for tier bits, so we can authorize the channel, they say our customer base is too small.  Possibly IPTV format in the future. Read the rest of this entry »

Canada Switches to Digital Broadcast in August 2011

 

I found interesting news about our Canadian off air broadcast on simcoe reform site, written by Ashley H.
She’s saying that Norfolk residents using antennas to pick up TV signals will soon be enjoying the same picture quality as satellite and cable subscribers.
Industry Canada has announced that all Canadian broadcasts will switch from analog to digital format by August 2011.
That will give better quality TV for antenna users. This will be great improvement in the way people watch TV.
The change will require antenna users to either buy a digital converter box to make their older analog television compatible, or buy a new TV with a digital tuner. All new televisions have Read the rest of this entry »
