It looks like the FTA receivers got seriously hurt.
Dish Network and Bell together have introduced new type of encoding of many desirable channels, making them unavailable to the hacked receivers and at the same time, making the hacked systems look very undesirable.
On Bev, I don’t see too many people desperately wanting to brake the codes to watch CBC. CTV, Global or Aboriginal Network and like wise on Dish Network I don’t think there is too much demand to hack their US locals like ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox (not to mention numerous shopping and religion channels)
So, what’s gone? No more PPV , Premium Movies, Professional Sports like Hockey and Football, no Porn.
Even before, I heard “there is nothing to watch” so, what’s now?
Stay tuned, I will keep you up to date with the changes. All though don’t hold your breath, it may take a while before coders/hackers will find reliable fix.
One specific FTA receiver is working very well, the Nfusion Nova, using the IKS internet mode only. All PPV, Porn, and NFL Sunday Ticket is working as of 2 Dec 12:50 PM MST.
I thought it was dead, but Bell fooled me by having two sets of NFL channels in the Guide. One was a fake set, and one set works.
My other FTAs , Coolsat 4000 clone and SatCruiser 101, are down.

Thanks for the info. So it is not the end of the road yet. I got some more info, that SonicView files are out, so the blackout is over.
At least for now.
Other models will follow soon as usual.
