SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD FOR NEW DSR505 HD AND DVR 530 HD RECEIVERS
As I mentioned in the past posts, in two months Star Choice is launching 7 new HD channels. This channel expansion is supported in Starcoice most recent software on DSR505 HD and DVR530 HD receivers. However, a small number of new receivers may still have the previous software version, and will require a forced download to enable the enhancements the new software provides.
As a result, retailers performing installations should inform DSR505 and DVR530 customers that they may not be able to view HD channels until a day after their installation. The new software will automatically download during late night hrs (4:00 AM to 7:00 AM EST) to all newly activated HD receivers.

Star Choice’s HD lineup continues to expand at very good rate. August saw the addition of Ztele HD, RDS HD will be added in October, and September welcomes the addition of 5 more HD channels.
Five Channels Join Canada’s Largest No Extra Cost HD Package in September

September will see the addition of five new HD channels to Star Choice’s NO EXTRA COST HD lineup.

ABC HD West will join September 18, MMovies HD September 19, MC HD2 September 20, and two NHL Centre Ice’s HD channels at the end of the month.
ABC HD West (Channel 295) is a popular choice for entertainment, with soaps, game
shows, prime-time dramas and movies. Good Morning America and 20/20 are among its
most-watched information programs.
Movie Central HD 2 (Channel 297) provides subscribers in the west even more of Movie
Central’s uncut and commercial-free movies, plus an assortment of HBO, Showtime and
Movie Central Original programming in brilliant HD quality.
MMore HD (Channel 296), The Movie Network’s second 24-Hour schedule, is filled with
more HDTV programming than any other movie service in Eastern Canada! MMore HD
offers uncut and commercial-free premium HDTV content from HBO and Showtime, in
addition to original Canadian drama series and Hollywood blockbusters!
The addition of these channels, plus the two NHL Centre Ice HD channels (Channels 469
& 470), brings the total number of No Extra Cost HD channels available for viewing to 25
– with more to come!
