Channel Changes on C-band June 5.07

The three channels that are up linked on Satellite GB: Court TV, USA, and MTV are now mapped at the following channel numbers on Satellite G3:

Court TV - G3 580
USA       - G3-622
MTV       - G3-802
They are not turned on / active yet, but should be soon.
Analog feed of Discovery channel East on C4-21 currently does not show any picture, only a scrolling message. on the bottom of the screen. It will probably come back on, but only at night until it goes off analog broadcast permanently approx. 06-29-07. 4DTV customers can get this same channel on C4-600.
Analog signal is a history. There is only a handful of channels still broadcasting in analog mode. Whether it is C-band, Ku-band, Ka or any band, the broadcast is mostly digital.
If you want to continue getting anything on your Big Dish, you will need to upgrade to DSR922 a Motorola 4DTV receiver or you will need to start experimenting with FTA Free To Air receivers like Pansat, Viewsat etc.
Another option is to say good by to you big dish and hello to the small dish services like DirecTv, Dish Network in US and Starchoice and BellexpressVu in Canada.
