USA Network is on Satellite GB (G-11) channel 590

Now we know that channel USA-East is on GB-590 and is now turned on and customers who have analog subscriptions to it should be able to receive it with their 4DTV digital receivers . They probably will need to remap their 4DTV’s and may need a rehit to be able to turn it on.

On model 922 4DTV’s, they can remap by doing a soft reset , and then if it still shows “no authorization” a rehit on G1-03 or G5-100 if they have a green DC light.

Message “can not find channel” is not requiring rehit. It indicate no signal and require aligment of the dish or some other settings, so please do not call for rehit as it will not work. You may need a service call.

We generally do not recommend a soft reset on a Model 920 unit.

SCI-FI, will be on X4-642 and is not turned on yet. It may be a few days before it comes on. X4 satellite is a Ku band satellite and your system will require CorotorII  plus feedhorne with Ku LNB. You can call Omegasource MTS Inc. to order.

I wish we could at least stay in one bandwith, then we could stay only on some satellites, then we could go all Ku as it works well with smaller dishes, then … well … we have systems like that…. They are the small dishes like Dish Network, DirecTv, BellExpressVu and Starchoice. Well then, I wish that we could order only some channels we like and pay only for them or pay only for what we watch when we watch it.

That is still a wish and only broadband and internet technology may have the guts to bring it to you. All of the digital systems out there are capable to let you subscribe to small packages, but none will let you do that as they care more about the bottom line then happy customer.

And that’s the truth.

USA and Sci-Fi Channels swiched to digital broadcast

We have received information today that USA and Sci-Fi channels stopped their analog broadcast on Galaxy G5 channels 19 and 18.

It seems that the step was a fast and unpredictable one for our suppliers as they have not got them ready in digital broadcast on the Galaxy11.

Just to make some more confusion: Galaxy11 is in the same orbital slot as the Galaxy7 or for 4DTV owners….. GB

Bellow I made a little table showing the orbital location, current satellite name or names , old name and 4DTV name.

I hope it will help a little.

85W AMC4           was W2    W9
87W AMC3           was W3 W3
91W Galaxy11      was G7 GB
93W Galaxy26      was T6 T6

95W Galaxy25     was G3 G3
97W Galaxy25     was T5 T5
99W Galaxy16     was G6 G4
101W AMC4          was S4 W4

103W AMC1         was W1 W1
111.1W AnikF2        was A1 E2
121W Galaxy23    was T7 T7
123W Galaxy10    was G0 G0

125W Galaxy14     was G5 G5
127W Galaxy13     was G9 G9
131W AMC11        was F3 C3
133W Galaxy15     was G1 G1

135W AMC10        was F4 C4
137W AMC8         was F1 C1

It is very difficult to relate to the same setup thet was there on analog C-band long time ago. There ara new satellites, new owners and hardley any analog channels to find. There are hundreds of digital video and audio channels, but it’s a digital world today and they are DIGITAL.
