Changes on Globecast

Last night number of channels on Intelsat America 5 Ku satellite operated by Globecast World Television Network have moved to different transponders. In order to get them back, most FTA receivers need to rescan the satellite, some other will require manual input of the correct frequency, polarization and symbol rate.
Currently Free to Air channel like :TV Orient, Jordan, Telepace, BVN TV, TV Polonia, TVP3, Tele5 and encrypted Polsat, MHz Network, ASC Flix and ASC XTA moved to Freq. 12084, Pol. Vertical, SR 22000
More changes are planned.

What is working?

Good old question. For Dishnetwork hacks, FTA receivers are on the backs with exception of Coolsat and Viewsats, but in order for them to work you will need original Dishnetwork ROM102 card and reprogram the receiver, open the card and program it, so it looks like converting the FTA to be the original Dishnetwork receiver.

The original Dish receivers can work with the ROM102 card as well, so to make the long story short, the only thing that works for hackers is ROM102 and Rom103 cards.

There is another thing on the horizon that is like the ATMega card and uses chip from 311 receivers and works as the ROM102 card.

Well it’s a middle of summer and sales of satellite systems are down however beer and slurpee are up. Usually at the end of summer, focus shifts more towards your TV, so let’s wait and see. I don’t think that dishnetwork is secure anymore. They have to eliminate the hack on ROM102 otherwise it will spread and free TV will roam again
